Next week, esteemed choreographer Pam Tanowitz brings her work Pastoral to London’s Barbican Centre from 1-3 October.
Reimagining Beethoven’s symphony of the same name (itself inspired by the natural world) Pastoral has been developed in collaboration with composer Caroline Shaw and painter Sarah Crowner.
In Pastoral, a company of world-class dancers apply Pam Tanowitz’s renowned abstract treatment to classical, contemporary and pedestrian movement as sound, silence and colour converge in this mesmerising visual production.
Expect pastoral landscapes and magnificent jewel-toned colours as Pastoral is brought to life by Crowner – in her signature ‘cut & stitch’ style.
