Dear humans/dancers/writers/artists,
We are happy to announce the beginning of a new project; a digital zine of poems inspired by performances (online and real life) that we have seen and been tickled by over the past year and during quarantine. The idea is to create a collage-style archive of after-tastes of performance art. We are excited to involve our community and readers in this project by asking for submissions of poem(s). After all the support we have received from you it feels only natural to reach out and work on this project together. You do not have to be an experienced writer to participate, everyone is welcome to contribute and we are most likely going to incorporate your words in the zine.
So if this all sounds interesting, the submission guidelines are as follows:
– Poem no longer than one A4 sized page (include name of performance/makers and your full name as the title, Word Doc)
– One to three accompanying photos of the performance or photos you have taken that you think would fit the poem’s atmosphere. Please credit the photographer. Alternatively, you can also make a painting if you are feeling extra creative (medium-high resolution jpeg, png)
– Deadline has been extended to Monday 12th October. Please use your surname and number to name the files e.g Collins1, Collins2 … and submit files to [email protected] with the email title ZINE CALL OUT.
